TILTING CHECK VALVE with Hydraulic Damper

APPLICATION

Butterfly type tilting check valve with counter weight and hydraulic damper for drinking water and neutral liquids.

DESIGN FEATURES

  •  Valve with automatic mechanical closing for installation in pumping systems preventing the return of the flow
  • Valve with double eccentricity of the disc, allowing shorter closing times, decreased vibration and shocks that occur with reflux
  •  Adjustable lever and counterweight and hydraulic damper to assist closing and avoid water hammer for no slamming of the disk, also allows to view the position of the disc

Characteristics of the damped check valve:
Smooth closing of the disk, no slamming Closing characteristic example The two adjustment needle valves “3” determine the closure speed for two independent ranges:

  • fast closure between 100% open and 30% open (example: 50%/s)
  • fast closure between 30% open and 0% open (example: 2%/s) (in the example, the influence of backflow has not been modeled)

Advantage:  The valve closes in less time than a single-stage damped valve, but without a high-speed shock as with a non-damped valve, the backflow is reduced while keeping a smooth operation.
